Think Your Way To Success: Can You?

Is the life you are living now your perfect life? If you won the lottery today, would you still be living the life you are now, doing exactly what you presently doing now? If you answered no, then what can you do to change your life and achieve that better life? What are the obstacles preventing you from moving on further to success? Picture the success you want in your life and make a list of goals towards that success. Successful people have visualized their success before achieving it. No matter at what point they were in their lives, they imagined their success and made every day in every way get better and better.

The choices we make, not the chances we take, determine our destiny.
Through history, there has been one common denominator in every success story: a positive inner attitude. Attitudes of success are found within us. Success is both a process and a special attitude. To become successful in life, you need to be successful in your mind.

The subconscious plays a huge role in our success and failure.  However, it is important to consider that the way we think, feel, and react is a combined result of the way we have been raised, societal scripts, and experiences. These three forces program each of us throughout our lives. Therefore, the fears we have today are the results of that history, and have been instilled into our psyche.  Consequently, we need to reprogram our subconscious to be both clear and positive. We must learn to use the part of our brain that life’s schooling has suppressed for years. The good news is that negativity may not be truly ours, but residual programming of others.  More importantly, we can reprogram ourselves to be more positive, even at the subconscious level.
What are you thinking about every day? Without realizing it, many people are thinking negatively because of habit. For example, even positive desires are expressed negatively, such as: “I will not create more debts.” This has a negative effect on your being, because your subconscious does not see the whole sentence. What it focuses on is the word: “more debts”. It is better to state desired changes as positive affirmations such as: “I will pay off all my expenses.” “I will double my income” or “I will make more money.” Make positive affirmations part of your everyday life so they are habitual. Remember that every negative thought you have will attract a negative experience, but every positive thought you have will attract a positive experience. Fill your life with positive thoughts like: “I am becoming successful”; “I invite success and prosperity into my life”; “I attract the people and situations that will help me offer my service.”

This is the way to develop the mental discipline to reprogram your feelings, thoughts, and attitudes. By changing the inner processes, we change the outer behaviors. Contrary to some schools of thought, this doesn’t require years of plunging into the depths of our psyche. Simply by being aware of our cognitive statements and processes, we reprogram our inner and outer selves. Self-awareness doesn’t require us to understand why we think the way we do, but how we think. A simple formula taken from the French pharmacist Emile CouĂ© who made the discovery of the power of self suggestion is to repeat, simply and factually:” Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.” Repeat this sentence to yourself every day; make it a routine thought process.

Your intuition is your subconscious communicating with your consciousness. When making decisions, trust your inner gut feeling, your intuition. As you learn to trust your intuition, it becomes easier, and more natural as a life navigational tool. By disciplining your consciousness to work in harmony with your subconscious, the stronger and more accurately it will guide you through life. One way to help you make decisions is to let the issue be the last thing you think of at night, allowing your subconscious take over while you sleep. You will be amazed of the answers in the morning. A caveat, however: beware of analysis paralysis.

To increase your agility to adapt to life’s changes, look at the possibility where other people see difficulty. Keep your mind focused on the final rewards. According to Mark Fisher and Mark Allen in their book “How to think like a millionaire”, you can reprogram your subconscious by repeating simple sentences like: “The right answer will easily and effortlessly come to me,” “My inner guidance is giving me the right answer” or “ My inner powers allow me to make the right decision”. You undo negative programming by habitually thinking of constant success.

All great successes in history started with a dream. A dream is a projection of our inner thoughts, our inner passions. It is by not taking action that dreams turn into regrets. “What if I had started that business…?” “What if I had applied for that position…?” “What if I had acted on that idea…?” Life is too short to for regrets. The best way to avoid regrets is by acting now.

Now is always the best time to act on that idea you have, the better life which you desire. Let your dreams guide you. Listen to your inner instincts, and direct it by disciplining the consciousness. Being yourself is what brings true happiness. When you do what you love, what you were created to do, then love, wealth, and success will follow. Visualize your dreams, visualize yourself being successful and take the decision to act on that passion and you are on your way to great success.
